The biggest festival of Maharashtra is back. And now, the festival is celebrated across the nation, beyond the boundaries of the parent state. We at VIBGYOR are back with the second edition of the photography contest, exclusively to celebrate the flavour of this festival.

3 Winners from each of the 3 themes, total 9 prizes

Theme

1. Preparation: This theme will include all the images which depict the preparation of Ganesh idol, welcome procession of the idol, all those activities which are done for the grand utsav. Please note, this also includes all the preparation happening at the house puja. 

2. Celebration and Portrait: The dhol tasha, the aarti, the chanting of slokas, and the highly decked up pandals, all fall in this category. Also, this includes the image of the Ganesha idol.

3. Farewell: The rituals to bid adieu to Ganesha, the farewell procession and immersion, all these subjects will fall under this category.

PS: All images for all themes, please note, also includes moments and frames from Home Pujas. As a photograph, the judges will value the creativity, not the venue of the click.

Image Sending Guidelines

· All images must be JPEG format only

· No borders

· No watermark

· Files should be renamed as Theme#_Name_Mob#_Sl#. For example, if R Shetty from Chennai wants to submit one image for the 2nd theme, the file name should be “2_R Shetty_9988776655_01”. 

· All images must be mailed to vibgyorfob@gmail.com with subject line “BM2 Submission”.

· Each file must be at least 2MB in size for DSLR and 500kb for mobile.

· You can even send via Google Drive or wetransfer, but make sure the notification is mailed to the same email id vibgyorfob@gmail.com

Rules & Regulations

· Image should be original. It must be your own click.

· You may use any device to click the image.

· Maximum 5 images are allowed for each participant for each theme. 

· Images from archival folder can be submitted.

· Images which has already received prize in any other contest cannot be accepted. Please avoid sending such a file for the competition.

· All files submitted for the contest must follow the image sending guidelines strictly. If any of the guideline is skipped, the image(s) will be disqualified.
