West Bengal is always known to be one of the epitomes of culture, heritage and folk content. One such area that comes on top of the mind in this regard from this state is Purulia. Purulia district is one of the twenty-three districts of West Bengal state in Eastern India. Purulia is the administrative headquarters of the district. The place still restores the charm of a rural Bengal life with utmost simplicity and rich cultural values. He dance practices of Chhau are now acclaimed across the globe. Apart from that, there is Jhumur and other formats that are indeed a pleasure and treat to experience live. And what best as a photographer one can expect, is customized performances for his memory capture, guided by one of the most prominent photographers, who belongs to the same place.

So, welcome to the new start, the first-ever Photo Tour from VIBGYOR, to experience and click the wonderful moments of Purulia, in association with Canon.

Detailed Itenary for only Saturday 14th March 

· Reach Purulia latest by 13th March 2020, 10 pm (check suggested trains/flight given below). You may join with VIBGYOR officials if you wish (check VIBGYOR official’s plan below)

· Board the hotel (3 sharing room), which is about 2km from the Purulia Station (toto vehicle will be arranged) and have dinner (Only veg meal. Anything extra may be separately ordered).

· On Saturday, 14th March 2020, we will start from the hotel by 6 am in a four-wheeler, which will be booked for the entire day. 

· We will first capture rural lifestyle images by moving across the village and interacting with the vendors of the local market, guided by our mentor and organizers.

· Breakfast will be given by 9:30 am

· Tribal dance by rural girls will follow.

· Lunch at 12 pm

· A break of 2 hours for your personal space amidst nature.

· Chhau dance by evening 3 pm. Performers will play an entire Pala Gaan (theatre) exclusively for our photography. 

· Evening snacks and tea at 6 pm.

· Surprise element at 7 pm 

· Dinner at 9 pm

· Return to the hotel by 10 pm, followed by a discussion about the first day’s experience.

· Participants who opt for only 1 Day tour needs to fetch train from Purulia station (as per your preferred time to board the train. This has to be intimated to VIBGYOR in advance)

Detailed Itenary for only Sunday 15th March

· Participants who are joining the tour only for Sunday must reach Purulia latest by 14th March 2020, 10 pm (check suggested trains/flight given below)

· Board the hotel (3 sharing room), which is about 2km from the Purulia Station (toto vehicle will be arranged) and have dinner (Only veg meal. Anything extra may be separately ordered).

· On Sunday, 15th March 2020, we will start from the hotel by 6 am in a four-wheeler, which will be booked for the entire day. 

· We will travel to a special location along with the Chhau performers for an exclusive shoot

· Breakfast will be given by 9:30 am

· Lunch at 12 pm

· Post lunch, we will get back to the hotel, and board train from Purulia station by 3 pm (check VIBGYOR official’s plan below). No one will be allowed to stay back.

VIBGYOR Official’s Plan

· From VIBGYOR, IM and DP will come from Mumbai, and SKL and SSG will join from Kolkata. Canon officials will confirm in due course. Mentor Sudip Patra is a resident of Purulia. 

· IM will board Flight SG-487 from Mumbai at 19:40 hrs on Thursday, 12th March 2020, and reach Kolkata by 22:25 on the same date.

· On Friday, 13th March 2020, SKL and SSG will join IM, and board the train no. 12827 HWH-PRR Exp from Howrah station at 16:50 hrs, and reach Purulia junction station at 22:30 hrs.

· They will reach the hotel thereafter, which is the same accommodation arranged for the participants.

· The photography itinerary is as explained above.

· On Sunday, we will board 15th March 2020, train no. 12884 Rupasibangla Express, and reach Howrah station by 21:30 hrs.

· Monday, IM and DP will board a flight 6E-318 for Mumbai, at around 5:35 hrs and straight head for the office. 

Approximate Commute Expenses

· Flight from Mumbai to Kolkata: 3500 INR (expected to increase in due course of time delay)

· Train from Kolkata to Purulia(CC): 490 INR (subjected to general booking and seat availability)

· Train from Purulia to Kolkata(CC): 490 INR (subjected to general booking and seat availability)

· Flight from Mumbai to Kolkata: 4500 INR (expected to increase in due course of time delay)

· Total approximate: 8,000 INR

Additional Benefit for the Participants

1. For participants who will be available in Kolkata on 13th March 2020, IM will take them for an exclusive Kolkata City tour for the entire day till 3 PM, before boarding the train from Howrah station. This tour will not be charged to any participant, however, local commutes may be shared among everyone as per actual, which is expected to be very nominal. 

2. Also, for those who are traveling from Mumbai along with IM, may get overnight stay benefits arranged at IM’s residence for both 12th & 15th March night, for absolutely no charges. This facility is as per first come first serve to only 5 registrations. 

Registration Procedure

· First, pay the fees 3500/4500 INR as per the choice of the number of days (one/both) you wish to participate in.

· In the form, we will get intimated with your choice of booking commute till/from Purulia to your base, for which you may opt VIBGYOR to book tickets along with them. This payment procedure will be discussed in person one to one.

· VIBGYOR will assist in flight ticket booking only till 17th February 2020, and railway ticket booking only till 13th February 2020 (till tickets are available in the same train VIBGYOR is travelling) after which, participants need to book their own tickets by themselves.

· VIBGYOR is not responsible to pay for your excess luggage.

· Once registered, for cancellation, the photo tour fees (3500/4500 INR) will not be refunded. 

· For the cancellation of tickets, the refund will be made as to actual.

· The last date of registration is 1st March 2020, 23:50 hrs, post which the registration link will be closed.

T&C

· Prior registration is mandatory. 

· Any participant below 12 years will not be allowed to join.

· Any participant within 12 to 18 years must share written and duly signed assurance from their guardian.

· This is a photography tour, and we request not to intend to make any family tour in the same. 

· Cancellation will subject to refund only as fetched from the ticket booking (that too if taken up by VIBGYOR)

· During the tour, cooperation and empathy are highly expected from each one.

· Please carry your own camera, memory cards (in excess), external lights (optional) and chargers. Do not rely on someone else for these. Tripods are not expected to be much in use; however, you are free to take that decision.

· Food will be pure vegetarian. One may opt to purchase anything else as per the availability at their own cost.

· Stay will be in a hotel on 3 sharing bases. We expect everyone to appreciate this, and not opt for a single room, which is not possible.

· Female participants and male participants, even though known to each other, will not be allowed to share rooms under any circumstances.

· There is no refund of the amount if someone opts to leave the session midway and return to the hotel. That commute to the hotel will be arranged by VIBGYOR on an excess payment as per actual. 

· Please keep a mindset, this is not a metro city but a rural village. So all arrangements are inclined to the simplest form of life, bit modified to welcome guests like us. 

· No one is allowed to stay back to Purulia post 3 pm on Sunday, 15th March 2020.

· Post-event, VIBGYOR will expect image submission as per guidelines shared to participants. This is mandated.

· Any image clicked by the participant during this session if shared across any format of social media, must have the due courtesy to VIBGYOR (properly tagged). If images are shared in an album in FB, the album caption, as well as the individual image within the album must have the tag for VIBGYOR.

Image Submission guidelines

● Minimum images to be shared: 30 images for 1-day participants, 60 images for 2 days. 

● Images should be only in JPEG format, with minimum file size 2 MB

● No watermark.

● No border.

● Rename the files as “NAME_MOBILE_Sl.No.” for both RAW and JPEG, so that the same image must have the same file name (with diff extension .JPG and .NEF for example) to compare the images. For example, if Raj is sending two images, the first image will be named “Raj_9988776655_01” and the second image as “Raj_9988776655_02”.

● Ensure to mail the images to vibgyorfob@gmail.com on or before 5th April 2020.

● Images can be shared through wetransfer or google drive share too.

● Participants will retain the copyright of the images. However, VIBGYOR/Tamron may use the images for promotional activities with due credit to the author.
